Floating Valves

Floating Valves

Floating type valves consist of a moving ball between two seats. The thrust that the ball experiences toward the seat, once the valve is closed, blocks the flow passage.

This type of valve is suitable for low pressure applications on small sizes.
Floating valve seats are composed of non-metallic materials such as: PTFE, RPTFE, PEEK, DEVLON, NYLON, KEL-F, etc.

Each body part is assembled by bolts for easy maintenance.

Diameters: from ½” to 8”
Class rating: from ASME 150 to 2500
Temperature range: -196 C° to +400 C°

These valves are generally used for uses that require easy maintenance with minimal intervention.

Diameters: from ½” to 6”
Class rating: from ASME 150 to 2500
Temperature range: -196 C° to +400 C°

The body is connected to the closures by threading or welding, which enable an efficient valve to be obtained at a competitive price.
The maximum valve diameter reaches 4″. The closures of our one-piece valves can be: Nipples, socket welded, butt welded, male/female thread, etc.

Diameters: from ¼” to 4″
Class rating: from ASME 150 to 2500
Temperature range: -196 C° to +200 C°

The wafer valve is made from a round, drilled bar in accordance with EN 12516.2; ASME B16.34; ISO 14313; EN 1092-1; EN 1759-1; ASME B16.5; ANSI B1.1. Our wafer valves are approved in full compliance with PED 97/23/EC directives, also available according to ATEX 94/9/EC regulations.

Diameters: from ¼” to 8”
Pressure class: ASME 150 to 600
Temperature range : -196 C° to +400 C°

This type of valve is mainly used as a discharge connection at the bottom of tanks. There is no gap between the ball and the flange connection, ensuring complete drainage of all residual fluids.

Diameters: from ¼” to 6”
Pressure class: ASME 150 to 600
Temperature range: -196 C° to +400 C°

ItalBest Valve offers a wide selection of jacketed ball valves. This type of valve has a cover plate (jacket) that covers the valve body from flange to flange.

The lining plate ensures proper heating or cooling of the fluid inside the valve to prevent crystallization or blockage of the valve.
This especially applies to fluids such as: bitumen and liquid sulfur. In addition, the efficiency of the
flow is ensured through the elimination of cavities.

Following our internal quality rules, each valve is tested a second time after the cladding plate is welded to the body.
